Photo session with Lahad Datu District Council and Amwil Deslen Management & Supplies PLT, Sabah Environmental Protection Organisation
On the 24 May 2025, Gotong-Royong Perdana Programme was successfully conducted at Kampung Sabah Baru Phase 2 and Kampung Desa Bajau, in Lahad Datu. This program was carried out in close collaboration with theLahad Datu District Council (MDLD) and and Sabah EnvironmentalProtection Organisation (PPASS) whose joint efforts contributed significantly to the success of the event.
The primary objective of the program was to to enhance the cleanliness of the surrounding village areas while fostering greater community awareness responsibility towards environmental sustainability. More than 300 volunteers participated in the event, including residents of both villages, youth groups, local council representatives, and staff from supporting organizations. The activities included clearing blocked drains and collecting solid waste. A total of 25.88 tonnes of garbage were successfully collected.
